The S3V is a studio monitor with a 3-way system, designed for vertical use in the midfield, but can also be used in smaller working environments due to its excellent sound characteristics.
A newly developed 9" woofer operates in the low frequency range from 32 Hz to 250 Hz. Thanks to the ELE and SMA technologies introduced with the new S series, this delivers a powerful and extremely precise low bass. In the mid and high frequencies, the 4" DCH midrange driver newly developed by ADAM Audio paired with the S-ART tweeter ensures a detailed, analytical sound. The HPS waveguide of the tweeter allows monitoring in a wide sweet spot and provides a fine representation of the stereo image and the depth gradation.
The DSP board specially developed for the S series includes a perfectly tuned crossover for an extremely linear frequency response. Furthermore, two parametric level filters (one for the bass, one for the treble) and six additional fully parametric EQs with variable slope allow the monitor to be customised to the room or individual preferences. In addition, the DSP offers limiter-based protection mechanisms for the tweeter amplifier, digital AES3 inputs and various options for future expansions. Software updates and digital control via the computer are very easy via the USB port.
Sufficient power reserves are provided by the PWM amplifiers for the bass and mid-range drivers with 500 W and 300 W respectively, as well as a 50 W A/B tweeter amplifier.
The S3V is characterised by incorruptible reproduction over a wide frequency range from 32 Hz to 50 kHz. If you are looking for a natural sound image, this monitor provides precise feedback on the structure of the acoustic stage.
