The Sub12 is a powerful active subwoofer that extends the playback range of nearfield and midfield monitors down to 22 Hz.
A robust special woofer with a large excursion and a heavy-duty voice coil has been optimised for precise reproduction in a bass reflex enclosure. The downward-firing bass reflex tube avoids disturbing wind noise thanks to its generous dimensions and shape. The PWM amplifier achieves an efficiency of over 90%, so that even critical passages can be completed over long periods without overheating. An additional output allows any number of subwoofers to be cascaded.
For medium-sized and larger control rooms, this subwoofer offers an excellent combination of low cut-off frequency (-3 dB at 22 Hz) and high undistorted sound pressure (115 dB SPL at 1m).
