The AEA R44 series is an exact replica of the old RCA 44BX ribbon microphone, considered to be the most musical sounding microphone of all time. Many of the most famous recordings of the 20th century were made with the R44. The A440 active version has a level boost of 18 dB and is optimised for all preamplifiers.
