With Chorda, the Artiphon brand presents a new series in its award-winning collection of instruments. With this synthesiser, looper, sampler and MPE MIDI controller, music is possible anytime and anywhere.
Chorda is easy for musicians to use and adapts to any playing style. The instrument has a built-in speaker, a headphone jack and a rechargeable battery. Chorda can be played like a guitar or you can load a piano preset and the frets instantly become "keys". The pads even turn Chorda into a drum machine. The instrument can even be used to create fretless melodies via the bridge, reminiscent of a violin or pedal steel. The library via the companion app offers a variety of sounds from genres such as loft, RnB and can be combined with your own samples or a DAW.
Chorda enables impressive melodies, rich chords and exciting beats with just a few intuitive gestures. The touch and motion sensors detect even subtle gestures such as tilt, shake and more. Chorda makes it easy for non-musicians to make music: Parameters can be customised and determined, such as the key, or you can let Chorda create sounds on its own by playing notes automatically.
