The Micro-D microphone is a pre-polarised condenser microphone for a wide range of applications. This miniature microphone is particularly suitable for drums, percussion, guitar combos/boxes, speech, vocals and acoustic instruments. Thanks to its modular design and flexible mounts, it can be prepared for a wide variety of applications in no time at all.
With its hypercardioid characteristic and a special holder, the Micro-D drum microphone is the first choice when it comes to professional miking of percussive instruments. A special aluminium holder and a rubber-mounted shock mount system hold the microphone securely and without interference on the drum rim. With a uniform transmission range of 40 Hz to 20 kHz (+/-3 dB), a lightweight yet very stable housing and a stability for limit sound pressure levels of up to 140 dB, this model offers an absolutely lifelike reproduction of most percussion instruments without the familiar background noise and interference associated with the recording of so-called universal microphones.
