The open, clear yet powerful sound of the OC707 is now also available for wireless microphones. The OC707 WL1 gives your voice great volume and allows it to stand out clearly in the mix with all its facets, without overemphasising them. The microphone is perfectly tuned to the human voice. The proximity effect has been designed for optimum usability in every performance, while the basic open character of the voice is always retained.

Until now, the outstanding OCC7 small diaphragm capsule, handmade in Vienna, was only allowed to shine in the wired Austrian Audio OC707. To make this fantastic, brilliant sound available to more artists, Austrian Audio now also offers the OC707 WL1 microphone head for Shure wireless systems. All the advantages of the Open Acoustic design are also fully utilised on the wireless transmitter.

The MK 4 and CCM 4 have been optimised with regard to their insensitivity to sound coming from the rear. As is characteristic of the classic cardioid, the attenuation is 6dB at lateral incidence below 90° and up to 30dB at incidence from the rear - depending on the frequency and distance. Diffuse sound is reproduced 4.8dB weaker than frontal sound, a value that corresponds to the directivity*. The greater this is, the less "space" a microphone transmits and the less susceptible it is to acoustic feedback.Thanks to its directivity, the MK 4 or the CCM 4 can be positioned around 1.7 times further away from the sound source than a pressure transducer of the same sensitivity with the same reverberation balance. Even in a diffuse sound field, i.e. at a great distance from the sound source in the room, this type of microphone has a constant frequency response - apart from a slight rise at 10kHz.
