This true condenser microphone is characterised by enormous versatility thanks to its tonal neutrality and careful design. The features of the MC 950 include a wide frequency range of 40 - 20,000 Hz and a signal-to-noise ratio of 72 dB.

The MC 950 is ideally suited as a main and support microphone for miking choirs, pianos, organs, orchestras and most solo instruments. Thanks to the switchable pre-attenuation of 15 dB, it is also ideally suited for use at very high sound levels. The switchable 6 dB/octave attenuation below 250 Hz compensates for the proximity effect.

Together with the WS101 windscreen, the MC 950 can be used as a microphone for speech and vocals. The MC 950 works with phantom power from 11 - 52 V and can therefore be used with almost any microphone preamplifier in studio and live applications as well as in installations. Thanks to its largely frequency-independent supercardioid characteristic, the MC 950 has excellent directivity combined with high rear cancellation. This not only makes it a first-class tool in the studio, but also enables it to be used in sound reinforcement applications where excellent sound and maximum feedback immunity are required.
