Bullfrog invites you to unleash your musicality, combining the thrill of electronic music production with a comprehensive learning experience.Bullfrog is a classic subtractive synthesiser - it consists of several "modules" for sound generation - VCO, NOISE GENERATOR - and processing - VCF, VCA/DELAY, as well as "modules" that generate control and modulation signals to control them - ENVELOPE GENERATORS and SAMPLE & HOLD. The Bullfrog does not generate the sound itself unless it is patched - using Eurorack patch cables to connect the "modules" together, or by inserting voice cards that create internal connections between the "modules" in a specific way and add additional functions, such as sampler/looper, sequencer, groovebox, etc. This approach helps to better understand how a subtractive synthesiser works and the principles of sound creation with such instruments.In order to provide a comprehensive understanding of how this synthesiser works and of sound synthesis in general, a comprehensive user manual has been created to accompany the learning process.
We at Erica Synths have developed a unique new hardware reverb effect device in collaboration with 112dB. We focused on the musical aspect of the effect - extremely long decay times are possible without losing harmonic integrity, and because multiple parameters can be adjusted simultaneously, notes can be played individually and held in chords, pitch-shifted at will, or used to create massive, ambient textures. The Nightverb is a stereo reverb with a unique and musical algorithm, memory/recall functions for all parameters and a sleek aluminium housing that aesthetically matches our desktop devices.
Ninja Tune - an English independent record label based in London - and Erica Synths have teamed up to develop a customised dub delay effect device - the Zen Delay.
Two companies - Sonic Potions and Erica Synths - joined forces to develop a drum machine that would stand out from the crowd, and the LXR-02 was born. The LXR is a fully-fledged digital drum machine with an integrated sequencer. Its sound engine offers 6 different instruments, each with over 30 adjustable parameters, creating sounds ranging from classic analogue emulations to crunchy digital chaos, offering some of the most extensive sound design possibilities a drum synthesiser has to offer. Its compact, robust design and clear user interface make it ideal for live gigs.
The Steampipe is an 8-voice polyphonic synthesiser that does not have conventional oscillators. Instead, it mimics the sound generation of wind and string instruments and is finely tuned to produce a wide range of sounds. The Steampipe is optimised for use with Wind MIDI controllers and works with any MIDI keyboard. The harmonics produced by the Steampipe are very organic and rich. It also has great sounding presets. Steampipe is very versatile and allows for nuanced sonic exploration, ranging from wispy clouds to fairground organs to industrial railway horns and finally to massive, otherworldly ambient sounds. Thanks to detailed control of multiple physical modelling parameters, the Steampipe is able to create very organic emulations of real instruments, but far beyond the conventional pitch and dynamic ranges they can produce - imagine what a flute or clarinet would sound like in C1 or C7!
