The CPD 1 complements the KS CPD series of active self-powered systems with its special HDSP dispersion behaviour - with minimal dimensions and weight. The sound pressure level is exceptionally high and even right down to the bass range. The DSP controller works with FIR filter technology for absolutely faithful impulse reproduction. Two integrated amplifiers provide the 10" chassis with 400W and the 1" driver with 40W of power - the peak output is 800W.
With the C series, the German premium PA manufacturer KS Audio from Hettenleidelheim has developed a product that is very attractively priced, but still comes across as very professional. The C 12 tops can either be operated individually on a KS Audio power amplifier or, as intended by the manufacturer, as a system with an active subwoofer (CB18), which also provides the power for the full-range speaker. The top is equipped with a 12" speaker and a 1.4" horn. There is a 36 mm flange on the underside for mounting on a conventional speaker stand.
The basic series from KS Audio consists of the C models. The CB18 subwoofer is the centrepiece of this model series. It provides the power for all other components. The built-in power amplifier consists of four individual blocks, which supply all the other speakers with power. Either just two tops, such as the C10 or C12, can be connected to create a satellite system, or even an additional passive subwoofer (CW18) can be connected. All components are connected with a 4-pole cable, as the frequencies are not separated in the speaker, but beforehand. This results in a significantly better signal and more power.
The C 04 miniature coaxial miniature speaker with wide frequency band and extremely low distortion is suitable for demanding speech and music applications with limited space availability and visibility, especially for theatres, houses of worship, restaurants, galleries, museum exhibition audio and other ultra-compact portable corporate AV meeting room sound reinforcement solution as well as a multifunctional background music system, e.g. for clubs with an amazing SPL / size ratio in general. The powerful 4.5-inch low-mid loudspeaker, equipped with a torsionally rigid yet lightweight carbon fibre cone and a coaxially mounted 1-inch neodymium soft dome, is the perfect near-field point source as known from studio monitor technology.The C 04 enclosure is made of birch plywood and is coated with polyurethane. It is available in all RAL colours and is equipped with an additional perforated steel grille and foam for high-performance protection of the built-in transducers. All aluminium parts are anodised. A full range application with CA4D / TA4D reinforcement and DMOD / FMOD processing is highly recommended, as well as a mid-high configuration of C 04 in combination with additional CW 210 sub-low extensions. Other features of this outstanding product include a 3/8" thread on the bottom for tripod use and two metric M6 inserts for mounting an optional U-bracket. Standard NL 4 on/off connector plate on the rear of the unit.
