With the RP-8000 MK2 we present the most advanced DJ turntable ever, developed in close collaboration with international turntable artists. The turntable has been designed for seamless integration with Serato DJ Pro and offers the ability to control up to 7 performance modes via the pad section. In the unique Platter Play mode, the pads can also be used to control the speed of the turntable to create melodies. The RP-8000 MK2 is a seamless combination of a first-class, professional DJ turntable and an innovative musical instrument. Pad section with 7 new performance modes: Designed for use with Serato DJ Pro, the RP-8000 MK2 enables unprecedented creative possibilities in a DVS setup thanks to seamless plug 'n' play integration. The 8 large pads with RGB illumination offer control over 7 performance modes (Cue, Sampler, Saved Loops, Pitch Play, Loop, Loop Roll, Slicer) as well as 2 user modes, which can be customised to individual preferences. The multi-encoder also allows browsing to be controlled directly from the turntable and tracks can be conveniently loaded into the respective deck. Platter Play - Creative control of the turntable speed: The Platter Play mode allows the speed of the turntable to be controlled via the performance pads and opens up new possibilities for musical live performances, allowing the RP-8000 MK2 to be used like an instrument. A total of 22 scales and 34 notes are available with the option to create up to 9 custom scales. The two speed selection buttons are used for the pitch bending function in platter play mode and allow the pitch of the audio material being played to be raised or lowered in semitone steps. In addition, the speed of the turntable can also be controlled via an external MIDI keyboard. Powerful motor with extensive setting options: The quartz-controlled hybrid turntable instrument is equipped with a powerful upper-torque direct drive. By fine-tuning the motor control using digital correction, the synchronisation fluctuations of the RP-8000 MK2 have been further reduced, resulting in particularly smooth running. The starting torque can be infinitely adjusted in the range of 2.8 - 4.5 kg/cm, as can the stopping speed in the range of 0.2 - 6 seconds. The heavy, precision-manufactured, die-cast aluminium platter has been fitted with a rubber insert to reduce vibrations and resonances. Statically balanced S-shaped tonearm with newly developed tonearm base: The RP-8000 MK2 has a statically balanced, S-shaped tonearm with hydraulic lift and anti-skating mechanism. The newly developed tonearm base is even more stable and can be adjusted in height (VTA). The tonearm of the RP-8000 MK2 is characterised by the particularly low-resonance, satin-finished material and comes with a universal connection for pick-up systems (SME). High-resolution pitch section with digital fader: The pitch can be easily read and adjusted using the precise pitch scale. In addition to the classic pitch ranges +/-8 % and +/-16 %, the RP-8000 MK2 can also be used with the ultra-pitch setting +/-50 %. This can be used, for example, to creatively influence the pitch of the record being played. If Quartz Lock is activated, the speed of the record being played is not affected by the position of the pitch fader. Equipped with everything - real-time LCD display, reverse function and Smart USB connection: In addition to the creative innovations, the RP-8000 MK2 has everything you can imagine in a DJ turntable. A digital LCD display shows pitch, BPM, deck assignment, scales and notes, elapsed/remaining time of the current track and firmware settings. In Serato DJ Pro, for example, the current BPM value of a track can be displayed so that tracks can be precisely synchronised without having to look at the computer. The Smart USB connection is particularly ingenious: up to 4 turntables can be connected to each other via USB. The individual devices assign themselves automatically and consecutively so that only one turntable needs to be connected to the computer via USB. The newly developed LED needle light in unibody aluminium design is easy to replace and can be rotated freely so that the needle position is easy to see even in the dark. The buttons on the top of the RP-8000 MK2 can be used to switch between the three speeds (33 1/3, 45 & 78 RPM). The precise motor control ensures that the selected speed is accurately maintained. Dedicated buttons for forward and reverse allow creative interventions in the mix. High-quality connections and additional output: Thanks to the recessed connection cavity, the RP-8000 MK2 can be easily installed in the case and seamlessly connected to neighbouring devices. The additional output allows the turntable to be connected to two mixers simultaneously and also enables easy switching from DVS to vinyl. An optional earth connection provides additional protection for club environments. All cable connections (RCA/mains cable) are detachable and therefore easy to replace, which also makes it easier to transport the turntable. Indestructible and robust housing construction: The housing of the RP-8000 MK2 has been additionally reinforced and weighted using metal, rubber and plastic elements. This makes the turntable very resistant to vibrations, for example caused by loud bass playback in the DJ booth. Shock-absorbing feet on the underside of the turntable contribute to further isolation. The surface has been finished with a high-quality, hard-wearing lacquer that is particularly resistant to scratches. Visually, the RP-8000 MK2 impresses with its timeless finish in deep black metallic.
