Of course, time is a crucial factor during stage construction. Time must be saved, because it is limited and costs money. Cordial has developed the CPH DMX 1-5 PWR 1 to help equipment hire companies and event organisers with this issue.
The hybrid cable combines the power supply with NEUTRIK® powerCON Power-In/Power-Out and a DMX cable with NEUTRIK® 5-pin XLR male/female connectors. For the use of LED walls, DMX-controlled spotlights and dimmer packs, for example, a precise 110 Ohm characteristic impedance cable was selected to generate a loop-through connection.
In contrast to XLR in the audio sector, there is a female plug on the transmitter and a male plug on the receiver, in accordance with the logic of the DMX standard. The 5-pin f/m XLR plugs are 3-pin. For the power supply, the DMX/power combination cable is supplemented by a 3x 1.5 mm2 mains cable and a balanced AES/EBU cable.
The split of the cable is 30 cm.
