It's a flexible handheld microphone for transparent, fantastic vocals that is suitable for a variety of uses, such as live, church congregations, broadcast, etc. It can be used wired or with your favourite wireless system. Whichever you choose, just plug it in and experience the voice like never before.
The 2028 features a supercardioid capsule with DPA's famous linear off-axis behaviour. This allows the microphone to achieve very high gain before the onset of feedback, while making it easier for engineers to handle crosstalk from nearby instruments. The 2028 captures these off-axis sounds in the most natural way.
We have developed a brand new capsule for the 2028, which is an integral part of the microphone. It is permanently attached to the shockmount and cannot be removed. The newly designed shockmount and pop filter were developed especially for the 2028.
On the live stage, the 2028 delivers the same open and transparent sound as other DPA microphones. In fact, it needs no (or very little) EQ to sound like you're standing right next to the singer listening to their performance. This allows the singer to use their voice as if they were not using a microphone at all, which puts less strain on them. In addition, sound engineers can spend their time shaping the sound experience instead of having to deal with artefacts. This amazing transparency is unique to DPA microphones.

Es gibt keinen Grund, irgendein anderes Mikrofon als dieses oder das 4018 zu verwenden. Egal wie laut die Bühne ist. Absolut linear in alle Richtungen, maximale Dämpfung der Bühne und der Rückseite. Man kann damit schlicht alles machen. Von Oper, Jazz bis Rock (auch Hardcore-) und Beatboxing. Das Polardiagramm ist absolut korrekt im Gegensatz zu den unverschämt geschönten von Shure, Audix, Telefunken und Co. Im Gegensatz zu Neumann KSM104 u.ä. ist die Dämpfung in 1m Abstand gute 20 dB besser. Wer sehr laute Monitore braucht wie ich, darf sich auf einen deutlich verbesserten Bühnensound freuen, denn der Bühnenhintergrund wird nicht als "Schrott" wie sonst üblich wiedergegeben (was auf die hohe Winkellinearität zurückzuführen ist).
