Thanks to the consistent lightweight construction with the 15 mm thick laminated cardboard panels, we have succeeded in creating a feather-light speaker that is fitted with the latest generation of high-quality ceramic speakers developed in-house. By using a voice coil with windings on the inside and outside of the coil former, we achieve a 40% higher continuous power handling capacity.
The elegant 4" "CT1" tweeter reproduces the upper frequency range in great detail and impresses with its finely detailed highs. With the "OFF"/"HALF"/"FULL" switch, the tweeter can be customised to suit your taste in sound. Thanks to the available impedances of 4 or 8 ohms and the amp fixing, which provides a secure hold for the amps from the T series, even our smallest speaker has high-quality features.
The stainless steel rod on the underside can be inserted into the rear panel to tilt the 112XS and ensure a 45° monitor position. For optimum damping, our enclosures are equipped with struts and nubbed foam to prevent unwanted resonance.
Because of these inner values, the rich, powerful sound, the easy handling and the tonal flexibility, the 112XS is also particularly popular with double bass players.
