Das polyphone STRING9 String Ensemble verwandelt eine Gitarre in neun verschiedene String-Ensembles und String-Synthesizer, ohne dass Modifikationen, spezielle Tonabnehmer oder eine MIDI-Implementierung erforderlich sind. Es basiert auf der gleichen Technologie wie alle Pedale der EHX 9er Serie. Als erstes Pedal der 9er Serie verfügt das STRING9 über den charakteristischen EHX Freeze-Effekt in 3 Presets, der Noten und Akkorde mit unendlichem Sustain sampelt und hält.
