Product information "Focusrite RedNet R1"

RedNet R1 allows users to interact with their audio system like never before. It offers the flexibility to control a range of different monitor output setups, from mono to 7.1.2 surround, including Dolby Atmos® and other immersive audio workflows. Alternatively, fully customised setups with up to 12 outputs can be configured for bespoke speaker configurations. RedNet R1 can be used to control groups of outputs from a variety of sources and destinations on a Red interface, including Pro Tools | HD and other DAWs, analogue inputs and outputs, ADAT and S/PDIF, and full Dante , simultaneously and interchangeably.

RedNet R1 supports a maximum of eight input sources from 32 available audio channels via analogue, digital, DAW and Dante, and mixes and routes signals to up to 12 monitor output channels. On the top of the device you can select the level, reference level preset, cut, dim, mute and a range of solo modes. An A/B switch allows you to switch between numerous monitor presets, and up to four flip presets allow quick switching for checking downmixes. Custom cue mixes can be sent to the talent from any of the 32 available inputs.

RedNet R1 also features a Dante talkback section, an internal mic preamp and a powerful headphone output, so you can interact with your Dante like never before. When used with a Red, up to four talkback destinations are available. (When used with other Dante, only a single talkback group is available) RedNet R1 has an internal microphone, or you can connect your own microphone via the XLR on the rear panel. The high-fidelity headphone output is powerful enough to drive high-impedance headphones with high sound pressure levels.

RedNet R1 has two LCD displays that accurately show the level of the outputs, sources and headphone outputs and provide visual cues for navigating the menus. The device is configured using RedNet Control 2, a software manager designed primarily for the quick setup of simple and complex monitoring and routing configurations. Other features of the RedNet R1 include a quarter-inch jack socket to which a footswitch can be connected for talkback management, LFE muting and more. It can be powered via Ethernet to reduce cabling (using the PoE standard) or via a DC power supply.
