Product information "Genelec 8040 RAW"
The Genelec 8040 is a studio monitor for music production, post-production and broadcast. It enables fatigue-free monitoring and objective mixing with clearly defined bass reproduction. The stable and low-resonance housing of this RAW version is made of untreated aluminium and is particularly environmentally friendly to manufacture as it is not painted. The drivers are protected by grilles. Rounded cabinet edges and the sound guide ensure optimum spatial imaging and a wide listening zone. The bass reflex design ensures precise and deep bass reproduction down to 41 Hz.
The Genelec 8040 offers high level reserves. With the two low-distortion 90-watt power amplifiers, it achieves a sound pressure level of 105 dB. It is therefore also suitable for medium-sized rooms up to approx. 30 m². Switchable filters are available to adapt the speaker to the installation location, while threaded holes and suitable accessories facilitate wall or ceiling mounting. The Genelec 8040 has an automatic switch-on and switch-off function that can be deactivated if required.
Suitable subwoofers are the Genelec 7360 or 7370.
