Tom, the drummer, accompanies young beginners through all three volumes of the snare drum school. In the first volume, everything from the correct body and stick position to reading music and the first simple techniques and rhythms, through to simple pieces for one or two players, is worked through step by step. The second volume builds on the successful mixture of so-called "technos", which contain new rhythms and techniques, and solo and ensemble pieces. In addition, the concept of "listen, watch and play" introduces pupils to relaxed and creative playing. The third volume, hot off the press, continues the familiar structure of volume 2. There are plenty of accent and swirl exercises, the most important rudiments are shown, new time signatures are learnt and improvisation is also included. With the snare drum school, coordinating timing, technique and sound will soon no longer be a problem!
