"When someone is travelling..." and doesn't want to do without a musical instrument, the Kalimba B5 is certainly the right choice.
It is our smallest model and has five reeds on a solid mahogany block.
The subtle sound of this instrument is easy to hear, but it can be amplified considerably by placing it on a suitable surface, such as a table top or the skin of a drum.
Plucking with the thumbs produces a bright, clear F minor triad.
As all the notes always match each other, even beginners will have a successful playing experience. The Kalimba B5 is also suitable for smaller children and for the waistcoat pocket.
