The DMX5N2YS transmits digital DMX lighting control signals.
Low capacitance and attenuation, combined with very dense shielding with foil and braided shielding (coverage > 85 %), guarantee interference-free signal transmission, which is so important in the digital sector, even over long distances. Tightly stranded wire pairs increase immunity to external electromagnetic interference. The OT206 cable used has a characteristic impedance of 110 Ω, which is mandatory for digital signals. A robust PVC outer sheath with a diameter of just 6 mm ensures mechanical stability and also makes the cable very flexible. The DMX5N2YS is assembled with high-quality, 5-pin XLR connectors from Neutrik, fitted with blue coding rings. The outer sheath is provided with transparent shrink tubing on both sides for free labelling.
