The different shapes and neck profiles from the years 1957 to 1959 were the models for the MAYBACH® Lester models, which are made into optical and handcrafted masterpieces in the Maybach manufactory. Over the last 60 years, hordes of guitarists have redefined the magical sound time and time again, and it doesn't actually exist. From Peter Green to Slash, it's all there. The typical customer request for a PAF at AmberPickups is: It has to sound old, but lively - slightly nasal, but please with tight bass and silky lustre in the trebles. The hand-wound Spirit of '59 pickups are the perfect match for the earthy rock sound with which the great guitarists of the last few decades have repeatedly enraptured our Sacculus*. With the right amp/box, everything is possible here too. By the way: a solid mahogany body and its innards can even drive a well-trained guitarist into his back. Every MAYBACH® Lester therefore has a clear message: NO 4.0 kilos! Without the case, of course. The MAYBACH® Lester models are finished exclusively with nitro lacquer in the colours black, gold, wild cherry, midnight sunset, Havana tobacco and honey pie.
