The Meinl Sonic Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum is made of high-quality stainless steel. It has a central bass tone in the centre, which is surrounded by eight other tones. These eight tone fields consist of two tongues each, which reproduce the tone in two octaves. This creates a wonderful, meditative sound that is similar to that of a handpan.
The sound hole is located on the underside of the drum, which can be closed with a silicone plug to make the sound even more compact. There are also three silicone feet on the bottom to prevent the drum from slipping. You can play the Octave Steel Tongue Drum with mallets or, if desired, with your fingers. Simply place the drum on a flat surface or on your lap to start playing.
Included are two wooden mallets with rubber head and a nice carrying bag with zip and handle.
