It adds more subtlety to the sound, especially in the treble range. The MM-59's neodymium magnet has a high sensitivity for higher output levels and clearer, more brilliant highs. The MM-59's multi-layer metal grille effectively protects against damage and reduces pop noise. It has a lockable on/off switch.
