Product information "Moog Subsequent 37"
The Sub 37 is a (2-note) paraphonic analogue synthesizer that builds on the award-winning design of the ultra-powerful Sub 37 Tribute Edition. Its control panel features 40 knobs and 74 switches, putting a variety of analogue sound design tools and built-in sequencer options at your fingertips. The Sub 37 enhances its source by implementing a number of sonic and functional improvements requested by users. Each of these improvements retains the magic and character of its predecessor while providing access to new sonic dimensions and improved playability.
The SUBSEQUENT 37's mixer section has twice the headroom of the Sub 37 Tribute Edition. This gives you access to a new palette of classic clean sounds in both mono and duo mode. Taking advantage of the newfound flexibility of the mixer, the gain stage in the ladder filter has been redesigned to increase harmonic saturation and analogue compression, resulting in an overall richer bass range. Completing the sonic evolution of the SUBSEQUENT 37 is a re-tuned multidrive circuit that goes far beyond the grit and growl of the original Sub 37.
"We are very excited to incorporate community feedback into the development of an instrument. Adding CV interconnectivity was the starting point, but we've also increased the headroom in the mixer and significantly extended the range of the multidrive circuitry, so that the SUBSEQUENT 37 CV offers expanded sonic possibilities and modular control. - Cyril Lance, Chief Engineer at Moog
In addition to the expansion of the sound engine, each SUBSEQUENT 37 features an improved keybed for enhanced playability, a powerful headphone amplifier strong enough to drive even the most demanding headphones, and a software plugin/editor for Windows and Mac platforms.
