Pop screens offer very effective protection against so-called pop noises (e.g. explosive sounds such as "p" or "t"). They consist of a round, thin frame covered with black gauze on both sides.
Pop screens are mounted on a gooseneck about 30 cm long. A clamp with a knurled screw at the end is used to attach it to the microphone stand.
