The Gain Baby offers 100 watts of versatility. Its lightweight yet robust housing with a Class A/B solid-state power amp offers two different channels for players of all styles.

The unit's silky clean channel features an integrated VCA compressor, eliminating the need for an additional stompbox. The desired frequencies can be easily set using the integrated bass and treble controls.

Four different levels are available in the high-gain channel, allowing the player to set the desired degree of crunch and saturation. Boost solos with a footswitchable volume control and connect effects pedals that have a buffered FX loop. With the integrated 3-band EQ and the Tight switch, you can optimise your sound even further.

Output options include a balanced DI XLR output, allowing producers to connect their own IRs downstream. Two speaker outputs are also available so that the Gain Baby can be used on a festival stage as well as in the studio. What's more, with its 100 W into 8 ohms or 70 W into 16 ohms, the Gain Baby can power any full-size guitar cabinet with ease!

Koch Amps Studiotone ST20 top (return)

At first glance, the Studiotone may seem like just another small amplifier...but it wouldn't be a KOCH amp if we hadn't equipped it with useful features and made it much bigger in terms of sound. A classic EL84-equipped Class A power amplifier, a completely newly developed loudspeaker and newly designed housing, three channels that can be called up via foot switch, as well as two effective voicing switches...all this is reminiscent of the best British amps of the 60s.The three channels (Clean, Overdrive and Overdrive+) offer everything from warm, round, clear sound to EL84-saturated, slightly compressive overdrive. The mid-shift processes the mids around 800 Hz, the three-stage bright switch offers the choice of attenuating, boosting or leaving the top end unaffected. The biggest surprises, however, can be found on the back: a serial effects loop, recording output with the option of varying the speaker type and microphone position, two further line outputs (one unfiltered, one low-level) and a headphone output! 4, 8 and 16 ohm speaker outputs complete the package, while the built-in load resistor ensures that you are always well equipped, even in the studio or when practising. Of course, the Studiotone also has an Accutronics reverb.
