The Ortofon - Concorde Elite is a first-class moving magnet (MM) DJ cartridge system and is based on the current Concorde MKII series. Ortofon has developed a system that, thanks to improved components, offers an unprecedented level of performance for cartridges in the DJ category. The Concorde Elite system features a new, specially shaped gold-plated housing that encloses an elliptical diamond, sits on a rigid aluminium-magnesium cantilever and has been specially developed for the Elite system. These high quality components ensure that the stylus picks up the vibrations of the record groove with a stable and precise tracking action, providing the ideal interface between the stylus and the armature. The pickup contains a unique coil system that transmits the movements of the diamond and thus delivers an optimum listening result. To ensure excellent tracking performance, a new rubber suspension has also been developed to achieve the desired characteristics of exceptional cartridge performance.
