"When I connect the inputs of my two amplifiers together, there is a lot of humming." This or similar questions are often asked in the technology section of specialist magazines. The Palmer Y-Box offers the solution to this problem. An FET input circuit converts the high-impedance guitar signal and simultaneously forms the driver circuit for a transformer, which routes the signal to the output without grounding - thus eliminating a hum loop. Operation with a 9V battery is recommended.
The PGA03 Y-Box can also be used as a cable driver for long cable lengths. In addition, the signal from output AMP2 can be switched out of phase, which is usually necessary when connecting two preamps or integrated amplifiers in parallel.
