With the Cajonito, Schlagwerk Percussion is expanding its innovative, high-quality and practical range of wooden percussion instruments. The Cajonito is a handy and universally applicable percussion instrument, which is mainly played sitting down and clamped between the legs. The sides of the Cajonito have an anti-slip coating to ensure that it stays in place. In the second playing position, the Cajonito rests securely on the thighs. The cushioning mat supplied, which is placed between the thighs and the Cajonito, prevents the instrument from slipping unintentionally. A third way of playing is to clamp the Cajonito under one arm. Tip: The sound hole can also be used to create an interesting wah-wah effect. Thanks to its compact size, the instrument can also be quickly placed on a conga etc. in a percussion setup.
Muffling pad The muffling pad inside the Cajonito has a double function. a) It serves to make the sound more powerful and to minimise unwanted vibrations of the opposite playing surface. b) It guarantees that the Cajonito lies securely on the legs/thighs when playing. To do this, the mat is placed between the legs and the instrument.
If the Cajonito is turned to switch between snare and quinto sound, the mat automatically falls onto the unused playing surface below.
