Product information "Rode NTG5"

With the development of the new NTG5, RØDE has significantly raised the bar for broadcast shotgun systems: with a limiting sound pressure level of 130 dB, a self-noise of only 10 dBA and a sensationally high sensitivity of 66 mV, sound sources of almost any kind can be transmitted in the highest broadcast quality. The NTG5 delivers a fantastically transparent and completely colouration-free sound.

Thanks to HF technology and state-of-the-art, vacuum-sealed electronics (conformal coating), the NTG5 is extremely climate-resistant - indispensable for outdoor recordings - and practically completely insensitive to interference.

At just 20 cm long and 76 g in weight, the NTG5, made of high-quality aluminium, is an ideal boom microphone. And despite its compact dimensions, it has an extremely high directivity, which is further increased by using the supplied foam windscreen.

The NTG5 is supplied with a comprehensive range of professional accessories: the PG2-R pistol grip with its Rycote® double lyre and the special PG2-R Pro Cable optimally decouple the microphone so that disturbing structure-borne noise or noise transmitted mechanically through the connection cable are no longer an issue. A 3/8" thread is embedded in the base to attach the NTG5 together with the PG2-R to a boom pole. Alternatively, you can use the RM5 microphone clamp, which is also included. The deluxe WS10 windscreen, which allows interference-free operation up to wind force 5, and the ZP1 transport case complete the scope of delivery.
