19" / 1U

with adjustable headphone output

SPDIF/AES input

RCA/XLR output

The RB-DAC1 can be used to convert digital signals in AES/EBU or S/PDIF format to analogue signals. Incoming signals with 24Bit and 96kHz are output analogue on stereo XLR outputs or unbalanced RCA outputs. The device also offers a headphone output with associated volume control, which can be used to monitor the conversion.

The reference level of the analogue outputs can be switched between +12dBu, +18dBu or +24dBu in relation to 0 dBFS. The RCA sockets each have 8.5dB less output level.

There is a button on the back of the device which can be used to select the S/PDIF or AES/EBU input socket as the input signal for the D/A converter. If the input signal has the status bit for 50/15µs emphasis, this is automatically switched on by the device.

If there is no digital signal at the input, the operation LED starts to flash.
