Product information "Sonor Vintage Series Three22 Pearl "

The vintage series, made in Germany

SONOR "Teardrop" drums were already being manufactured to the highest quality in the middle of the last century. They were played and highly praised internationally by stars such as Connie Kay, Roy Haynes, Sonny Payne and Kenny 'Klook' Clarke.

Today, the original SONOR drums from the "Teardrop" era are in demand like never before. With the new Vintage series, SONOR is bringing the sound and look of this era back into the modern age. The analogue sound in a digital world.

The Vintage Series offers this unique sound and at the same time complements the range of sound options with the round cup ridge, which was standard until the switch to 45 degrees in the 1970s. The SONOR team has worked with artists and vintage experts to bring the new Vintage Series as close as possible to its predecessor in terms of sound, feel and look. All these details are combined with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes.

As with its predecessors from the "Teardrop" era, only hand-selected premium quality beech from Germany is used for the Vintage series. The teardrop trestles are modelled on the design of the 1950s trestles and equipped with the SONOR Tunesafe system. The picture is completed with a new edition of the "Super Profile" hoops, the "Super 50" snare drum lift-off and the use of the original logo from the 1950s.

Vintage bass drums and shell sets are now also available with a bass drum rosette, the design of which is based on the original "iron shape" of the classic 1950s and 1960s teardrop sets.
