With the Apollo 2, the stereo ribbon microphone also receives an upgrade. The two capsules in a Blum-lein arrangement reproduce the sound in detail and vividly. The result is a stereo image that is as pleasant as it is lively, providing a first-class presentation of room signals, choirs, chamber music, piano and drums. The Apollo 2 also features the RFI filters that ensure interference-free transmission in the other Sontronics ribbon microphones of the second generation. Conveniently, the two capsules can also be used individually, allowing the Apollo 2 to function as a mono microphone if required. The frequency range of 20 Hz to 18 kHz covers the entire range of music and creates a balanced sound image.
