These models reflect Vic Firth's 50 years of experience as timpanist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Each mallet is made from a single piece of maple. The
Manufacturing method avoids the need for a screw to secure the head. They produce a full and clear sound.
Extend the life of your American Custom T1, T3 and T6 timpani mallets many times over with original Vic Firth replacement felts.
How it works:
Remove the top layer of felt -> place the replacement felt around the mallet head -> tighten and knot the ribbon -> you have a new mallet!
