Arabic, Asian, Indian and Irish frame drums served as traditional models for the Schlagwerk hand drums. They are covered with natural goatskins and are characterised by their overtone-rich sound. The frame is made of multi-layered beech wood. When played traditionally, these frame drums reward the player with warm and rich basses. The incredible dynamics of these instruments are emphasised with high and singing tones using rim beats.

The body of the Precise OS EVO Black is made of 20mm thick, smoked alder with a beech back and gabon pickguard. The front is completely screwed together using our OS method. Typically Precise. The playing surface receives the same treatment as the "La Perù EVO" and is compacted by an embossing, which was developed for better snare response. The 100% alder body provides controlled, very dry bass. By using an already installed CBT10, the sub-bass is additionally boosted. The two string compartments, each with four Cajon strings, can be tuned independently of each other.

Uncompromisingly designed for live use, the Urban OS models offer a bold, original and intense overall sound that provides plenty of natural assertiveness at the gig, even without microphones. The basic design structure incorporated into the playing surface also offers plenty of attack surface when playing with Cajon brushes.
