This pickup combines the same coil design as the SS®L-5 with handmade and protruding AlNico V magnets of the same length. The even arrangement of the pole pieces enables a balanced magnetic field and accommodates today's common strings (bare G-string) and flatter fingerboard radii. The more even output power is most noticeable when strings are pulled. The SS®L-6 is just as powerful and present in tone as the SS®L-5 and is ideal for distorted sounds.
