With the new Showtec DMX Merge, you can combine two DMX controllers into one DMX line or use a second desk as a back-up desk.The device has 3 modes:1) HTP (High Take Precendence) In this case, you can use two identical desks with the same addressing on one line. The DMX channel with the highest value has priority.2) Back-up mode. The device is connected to two DMX desks. Channel A has priority. If channel A fails or has no DMX, channel B takes over the show.3) Merge mode. Two desks can be combined for one line. For example, you can run a scene setter and DMX on one line. The scene setter controls channels 1-96, and channels 97 and higher are DMX-controlled: these positions can be freely addressed via dip switches.
The DB-1-4 is a universal DMX-512 optical splitter. It distributes the incoming DMX signal, in chain configurations, into four separate outputs with an additional "thru" port.
