Telefunken TDP-1
Telefunken TDP-1
card.manufacturer:
The Telefunken TDP-1 is a new passive DI box that combines first-class components with a stable construction. This results in a reliable DI box with a rich, warm tone. By utilising an OEP/Carnhill (Made in UK) transformer, together with a 'less is more' design approach, this Telefunken passive DI box offers ambience and character to match the sound of your instrument. The high quality transformer is just one of the important design elements of the TDP series DI boxes. The circuit boards are 100% hand-assembled using only through-hole components (THT), which provide a more secure and reliable connection than surface-mounted components. All tracks are gold-plated to ensure maximum conductivity over the entire service life. The high input impedance does not stress passive pickups. The frequency response of the circuit is ± 2dB from 10 Hz to 40 kHz with extremely low distortion and inherent noise. The circuit is housed in an extremely robust pressed aluminium housing with recessed switches and connections. This construction is practically indestructible and can easily cope with the daily demands of concert use. Each channel has two robust switches for activating a 15 dB attenuation and the ground lift.

Telefunken TDA-2
Telefunken TDA-2
card.manufacturer:
The Telefunken TDA-2 (dual) is a new active FET DI box that utilises premium components in a reimagined classic circuit to achieve a rich sonic character that preserves the natural sound of your instrument. The TDA circuit utilises discrete Class A FET technology in conjunction with a high quality transformer, resulting in the perfect balance between clean sound with plenty of headroom and a warm, saturated tone.At the heart of the circuit is a specially wound output transformer from OEP/Carnhill (made in the UK). The circuit utilises gold plated traces and is fully hand assembled with through-hole components (THT), which provide a more secure and reliable connection than surface mount components. The frequency response of the circuit is ± 2dB from 20 Hz to 70 kHz with extremely low distortion and noise. Each individual unit is optimised by hand for the lowest possible distortion. The high input impedance does not affect passive pickups. This attention to detail and the high-quality components result in a DI box that combines a harmonically rich low-end with a detailed and clear high-end.The circuitry is housed in an extremely robust pressed aluminium enclosure with recessed switches and connections. This construction is practically indestructible and can easily cope with the daily demands of concert use. Each channel has two robust switches for activating a 15 dB attenuation and the ground lift. The circuit is powered by the standard +48V phantom power supply and an LED indicates the operating status. It offers two independent channels with separate controls, allowing two instruments to be connected with just one DI box on stage or in the studio.

Telefunken TF 47
Telefunken TF 47
card.manufacturer:
The TF47 is a new design based on the German sound and inspired by the historic U47 and M49. With an extended low end and a punchy midrange, the TF47 is ideal for adding depth and presence to any source. These characteristics make it particularly suitable for recording vocals, guitar amps and drums. At the heart of the TF47 is a K47-style metal capsule, a new 5840W vacuum tube from old stock (new old stock) and a customised, historically accurate BV8 transformer (as in the U47). These components deliver a warm and punchy sound reminiscent of the U47, with a pleasing articulation in the highs that blends perfectly into a mix.

Telefunken M80 Copper
Telefunken M80 Copper
card.manufacturer:
TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has created the M80 as a superior alternative to the mid-range overloaded character of the "industry standard microphone". With a wider frequency transmission range and a higher SPL limit, the M80 has the characteristics of a condenser microphone in a stable dynamic microphone design that can be used for both stage and recording applications for voice, instruments or drums. Thanks to the low mass of the capsule and the super-thin yet amazingly robust capsule diaphragm, the M80 enables excellent sound transmission, e.g. of vocals, which is normally only possible with studio condenser microphones. The microphone head and capsule design were developed to reduce the proximity effect, which unnaturally exaggerates the bass range of a voice. Nevertheless, the microphone sounds very well-founded and solid in the bass, while at the same time being very "open" and "airy" without creating unwanted feedback in the upper mid-range.The M80 contains an American-made transformer - specially designed for the microphone - which is primarily responsible for the almost "magical" sound of the microphone. In combination with the special capsule design, the M80 became a unique success faster than we could ever have imagined.

Telefunken M81 Universal Dynamic
Telefunken M81 Universal Dynamic
card.manufacturer:
The M-81 is the latest addition to the TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik family of dynamic microphones. The microphone was designed not only to complement the M80 (TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik's first dynamic microphone), but also to stand out from the crowd of other dynamic microphones on offer.Since the M80 was first introduced in 2008, it has quickly become a "bestseller" in both live and studio applications. With its clear and detailed sound in the treble range, articulate midrange and minimal proximity effect, the microphone has won the hearts (and especially the ears) of thousands of new users, becoming the microphone of choice for vocal and drum applications in particular and is now the best-known microphone in the TELEFUNKEN product line.Based on the outstanding characteristics of the M80, the TELEFUNKEN M81 also has the same minimal proximity effect, superior feedback shielding and a very clear and distinct mid-range. In the upper treble range, the response of the M81 has been slightly reduced so that the microphone has a smoother and more even frequency response. As a result, with the M81 you get a microphone with a clear and smooth sound that is ideal for brighter vocals and guitars, percussion and brass. The customised frequency response of the TELEFUNKEN M81 also makes this microphone an excellent choice for electric guitars, percussion, drum toms and brass instruments. The wide application range and the stable and reliable design make it the workhorse for a whole new generation. With the same tube body finish and chrome capsule protector as the R-F-T AR-51, the M81 is instantly recognisable. Much of the design of the M81 is based on the AR-51. Great care was taken in tuning the M81 to make it comparable to the AR-51, especially when recording electric guitars. In general, it can be said that the design of the M81 is particularly suitable for... well, actually for all applications. It really is a "universal dynamic microphone".
