The C2 (C Squared) Ride was developed together with Meinl Cymbal Artist Chris Coleman and combines the various demands he places on a ride cymbal in a versatile yet powerful cymbal. Based on a heavy blank, this ride has a very steep profile. Both are needed to achieve the stick response and presence Chris wants. The holes on the edge, which are unusual for a ride cymbal, allow better control over the swing of the ride and give it the definition Chris wants in order to assert itself in the mix. The thick bell asserts itself perfectly in the band context and gets its warm and musical character from the additional hand hammering. The natural surface and the special holes on the edge give the ride its penetrating character and also make it a visual highlight in any setup.
