The darbuka is a drum from the Arab world. It consists of a goblet-shaped body traditionally made of clay and covered with fish skin or goatskin.Modern darbukas are often made of metal, with Turkish models being made of aluminium, copper or brass sheet and the Egyptian version being cast from aluminium. The drumheads are usually made of plastic, but natural skins are also used on newer models in order to achieve a warmer tone that differs from the high-pitched sounds of the plastic skins.
Arabic, Asian, Indian and Irish frame drums served as traditional models for the Schlagwerk hand drums. They are covered with natural goatskins and are characterised by their overtone-rich sound. The frame is made of multi-layered beech wood. When played traditionally, these frame drums reward the player with warm and rich basses. The incredible dynamics of these instruments are emphasised with high and singing tones using rim beats.
The K Custom Dark Splash 10" from ZILDJIAN sounds spectacularly clean and clear, with a very short sustain that fades out dark and soft. The Zildijan K Custom Dark Splash - 10 inch has a verythin profile and a very noble natural finish.
Due to the dark, untreated surface in combination with the different sized holes, this cymbal produces a very trashy, rapidly falling basic tone. In addition, the general pitch is lower for an even darker response compared to most other trash crashes. Perfect for fast, trashy accents.

In 1980, the Tama Mastercraft Bell Brass snare drum was born. Back then, the Bell Brass was developed to meet the explosive sounds of a new decade in music and deliver the purest snare sound ever achieved. In the heavy rock music of the 80s and 90s, the Bell Brass snare drum from Tama became known simply as "THE TERMINATOR". As aggressive as its sound was, its versatility was unrivalled and it found its way into the hands of the world's best jazz and fusion drummers of the time. Now, almost half a century later, the Tama Mastercraft "The Bell Brass" 50th Anniversary Reissue pays tribute to this legendary sound. Using a special alloy of copper and tin moulded into a 3mm thick shell, this super-heavy bell brass shell produces extreme volume and outstanding range. The Mastercraft "The Bell Brass" 50th Anniversary Reissue has been reproduced as faithfully as modern technology allows, bringing the legendary and timeless sound back to drummers.
The singing bowls from Terré are inspired by the Keisu bells used in traditional Zen Buddhism. The wooden mallet supplied is used to strike the upper edge of the singing bowl from the side. Similar to a bell, the singing sound fills the entire room with vibrations and energy. A wide range of sounds can be elicited from a single singing bowl using different mallets and striking techniques. These singing bowls are pre-drawn by hand in India from a brass-bronze alloy and driven into their final shape, creating an internal tension in the metal. Each singing bowl is therefore unique and bears witness to an ancient tradition.
