The FP-9500C is a single pedal with double drive and a woven nylon strap that can be installed with a drum key. The double chain drive is Yamaha's most popular model and ideal for high speed players. The nylon belt is becoming increasingly popular, it is quiet and feels light and fast. The FP-9500C has adjustments for stroke angle, footboard angle and spring tension. The pedal frame has a stabiliser cast in below the rocker shaft to eliminate flex. This keeps the bearings in alignment and gives the pedal a soft feel. The hole in the beater scar is teardrop shaped so that it holds the beater shaft securely and prevents the new two-sided beater from spinning. The new beater has felt on one side and hard plastic on the other. The laterally adjustable tyre clamp holds firmly on tyres of different thicknesses and tightens with a wing bolt. The FP-9500C is supplied in a reinforced soft bag for transport.
The Meinl pedal holder fits all standard bass drum pedals and holds cowbells, blocks or tambourines. It is height-adjustable and contains metal pins on the underside of the legs that hold the entire unit in position without movement.
