Tom DeLonge is a songwriter, singer, guitarist and co-founder of Blink-182. Fender® has once again teamed up with the creative punk musician to realise a shared vision - the Tom DeLonge Starcaster®.This guitar is unusual in every respect. The semi-hollow Tom DeLonge Starcaster offset body is fitted with a Seymour Duncan® SH-5 Duncan Custom humbucker, which produces the right sound for powerful chords and heavy riffs. But the Tom DeLonge Starcaster® is not only loud and powerful, it also has a sophisticated inner workings. Instead of an opulent collection of knobs, there is just a single volume control with an integrated treble bleed circuit. This means that your sound retains the full treble spectrum at any volume with bell-like, bitingly throaty short-before-breakup sound colours. The C-profile neck has a 12" rosewood fingerboard with medium jumbo frets and provides a modern, comfortable playing feel. Further highlights: Fender locking tuners with maximum tuning stability, freely adjustable bridge with stop tailpiece for customised setup and additional tuning stability. The neck plate and the back of the headstock each feature artwork personally designed by DeLonge.Whether you want to play the typical Blink-182 sound or are simply looking for an instrument with a strong character with which you can tear down the house professionally - the Tom DeLonge Starcaster ennobles every instrument collection with its power.
The Dinky® alder body features a sanded shredder's cut in the heel and a hollowed lower backbout for convenient and unobstructed access to the upper frets, and is paired with a graphite-reinforced bolt-on caramel maple neck for rock-solid stability. The baked neck has a silky smooth, hand-rubbed satin urethane finish on the back for excellent playability, Luminlay® side dots for orientation on dark stages and a truss rod adjustment wheel on the heel for quick and painless adjustment of neck relief. The ebony fingerboard with 12"-16" compound radius was developed for high playing speeds and features comfortable rolled edges, 24 jumbo frets, pearloid dot inlays and Graph Tech® TUSQ® XL nut.
Eddie Van Halen is known for giving his legendary guitars their own identity. With his visionary approach to personalising his style and tone, Eddie has created some of the most memorable guitars in rock'n'roll history. One of these guitars has become as iconic to Van Halen's sound as tapping is to Eddie's playing. Eddie took his edged offset axe and sawed a chunk out of the body, leaving jagged edges in the wood that looked like teeth, and aptly named it "Shark". After applying a coat of silver paint, Eddie added tape in his famous striped pattern and then grabbed a can of burgundy Schwinn bicycle paint to finish the job. The final striped creation was first seen live during the first Van Halen world tour in 1978, but became even more famous and adored by fans after appearing on the back cover of Van Halen's 1980 album, Women and Children First. After years of requests for this famous instrument, EVH® is proud to release the new Shark model of the Striped Series. This high performance axe features an angular ash body paired with a rock solid maple neck that features a comfortable modified "C" profile. The neck features a "hockey stick" headstock and the same striped finish on the back, while the fast-playing 12"-16" compound radius Pau Ferro fingerboard features 22 jumbo frets and white dot inlays. The Shark is also equipped with custom EVH Wolfgang® Alnico 2 humbucker bridge and neck pickups that deliver the ideal amount of power and articulation with sweet sustain and thick, chunky rhythms with a perfectly balanced EQ curve. The bridge pickup features parchment-coloured coils with metal braided wire, while the neck pickup has black coils with metal braided wire. A low-friction volume control with treble bleed ensures unrivalled performance and smooth volume adjustment for gentle volume swells, while a chrome-plated solid brass harmonica bridge provides massive attack, presence and sustain. In addition to the distinctive Burgundy with Silver Stripes finish, the Shark has other eye-catching features such as black numbered knobs, a three-way toggle switch on a brass mounting plate, a brass saddle, gold and chrome Gotoh® tuners with EVH stamping and chrome eye hooks with turnbuckles. Included: EVH Striped Series Shark gig bag!
Precious woods, almost natural and pure, radiate their own beauty. The most direct path between the material and the eyes of the beholder. Reduction to the essentials. No more, but also no less, as all guitars in the Natural series are made according to the high principles of guitar making that underlie all Lakewood guitars. The direct design language allows the materials to speak for themselves. Each instrument is finely tuned in its ingredients. Here, less is more.
