The universal Audix DP4 set contains four professional microphones for live or studio use to pick up sound from drum sets, guitar amps, percussion or other instruments, for example. The D6 is the reference microphone for modern kick drums and is also suitable for bass amps, large floor toms and other low-frequency sound sources. The i5 achieves outstanding results with universal applicability for guitar amps, snares, toms, percussion and other powerful instruments. The selection of dynamic microphones with Audix VLM capsule technology ensures accurate sound reproduction. Microphone clips, three universal D-Flex holders and an aluminium case are included.

The D4 is suitable for miking kick drum, floor tom, djembe, bass guitar combo, piano or saxophone. The D4 has an innovative capsule design that is also capable of reproducing frequencies below 100 Hz cleanly. In fact, the D4 is able to pick up frequencies up to 63 Hz. However, it should not be forgotten that this microphone is a full-range microphone that is suitable for a variety of different applications. If the D4 is used to pick up the kick drum, it should be placed in the centre of the sound opening of the front head. Here, the D4 offers a warm, fat sound with a good portion of punch.
