Today and in the future:
"Inspiring instruments that make music fun."
Since its foundation in 1963, KORG's goal has been to create new musical experiences and playing adventures with its instruments. This ambition led early on to the invention of the first Japanese synthesiser and the world's first needle tuner. This was followed by countless unique instruments that gave people all over the world the joy of making music. KORG continues to stand for innovative and uncompromising instruments of the very best quality. They inspire professional artists and composers to top performances, while remaining easy to play for everyone thanks to well thought-out operating concepts. Because KORG instruments are always developed with the wishes and needs of all our many enthusiastic users around the world at the centre - today and in the future.
The KORG Pa5X with 88 keys (hammer action with aftertouch) occupies a special position among the top arranger keyboards. Pianists who want to use versatile arranger functions or keyboardists who prefer a piano feel are addressed here. The acoustic and electric piano sounds of the Pa5X come from the KORG SV2 stage piano, and synthesiser sounds from the KORG NAUTILUS, wavestate and ARP2600, among others. A special round-robin function ensures ultra-authentic and lively drum sounds.Unique to the Pa5X: two completely independent players that can play styles, midi files and MP3 files - in any combination! This also makes it possible to mix two styles or even play them synchronised. "Smooth Sound Transition" ensures that no notes or effects are cut off during crossfading or switching.
The opsix module is the space-saving modular version of the opsix mkII and has the same controls and features as the innovative Altered FM synthesiser from KORG, with the exception of the keyboard and pitch/modulation wheels. Its clever operator mixer makes FM synthesis more intuitive than ever before, as each operator is assigned a fader and a knob for adjusting volume and tuning. Colour-coded illumination of the controls indicates at all times whether a modulator or a carrier is being manipulated. To define the basic characteristics of a sound, there are 40 different algorithms to choose from for each sound programme, although you can also create your own user algorithms if you wish. As if that wasn't enough, the Altered FM synthesis also offers additional operator modes such as ring modulation, filter, filter FM or wave folder, making the opsix a true monster synth that is capable of covering an enormous range of classic and completely new sounds. The powerful multimode filter and the three high-calibre effect blocks offer additional possibilities for further sound shaping. Thanks to its polyphony of 80 voices, even more expansive sound experiments are no obstacle for the opsix module, and even classic FM pianos can be played as full and natural-sounding as you have always dreamed of with an optional damper pedal. Thanks to the virtual patchbay, up to 12 custom routings can be created per programme, allowing even more freedom in sound design. The step sequencer with 16 steps can process polyphonic sequences with up to six notes per step as well as motion sequences with up to six different lanes. A clever randomise function allows the creation of new sounds on a random basis. The opsix module also supports the MIDI 2.0 property exchange standard and polyphonic aftertouch, making it an ideal complement to the KORG Keystage MIDI 2.0 keyboard. For use as a desktop module, you can choose between two different installation angles. Alternatively, the opsix module can also be installed in a conventional 19" rack to save space in 4 height units.
The KORG SV-1 Stage Vintage Piano caused a sensation when it was launched over 10 years ago with its iconic design and simple operating concept and has been used by countless renowned musicians in studios and on stages around the world ever since. The SV-2 follows the same philosophy as its legendary predecessor, but expands the range of functions and sound quality many times over. The iconic design and the still intuitive user interface have remained the same. But under the bonnet, a few things have changed significantly. The SV-2 has a huge sample memory of several gigabytes, which of course benefits the acoustic piano sounds in particular. The SV-2 has room for no less than four high-calibre concert grand pianos (German Grand, Austrian Grand, Italian Grand and Japanese Grand) and two upright pianos (Japanese Upright and German Upright). Thanks to the use of the latest sample technologies and the SV-2's large internal memory, the sounds are in no way inferior to their acoustic counterparts.Of course, the same applies to all the other sound colours of the SV-2, including numerous legendary electric piano models (reed, tine, FM, electromechanical etc.) including authentic reproductions of the typical background noises as well as the matching vintage effects and speaker simulations. The organ sounds also honour their role models in terms of sound and are represented by a large selection of tonewheel, tube, transistor and pipe organs. The SV-2 also offers funky clav sounds, numerous string and ensemble sounds, choirs, wind instruments and classic synthesiser pads, leads and bass sounds.Using the free editor software for Mac and PC, layer and split sounds with up to three different timbres can be created (for example a piano/bass split with an additional string layer) and saved as one of the now 64 favourite sounds. Thanks to the extended polyphony of 128 voices, even long sustained chords are no problem when using multiple layers. All SV-2 models are equipped with KORG's tried-and-tested RH3 keyboard, which with its hammer action and graduated weighting over four zones conveys the authentic feel of a concert grand piano. Both the SV-2 and the SV-2 S are available with either 73 or 88 keys.

Sampling with all the tricks:With the electribe series, you can intuitively modify your precisely constructed patterns during playback and spontaneously create new sound variations. About ten years after the market launch of the electribe SX, we are now introducing a new electribe sampler - with even more ease of use and playing fun for beginners and experienced users. The electribe sampler is wherever speed is required - in live performance and music production.State-of-the-art KORG technology:The newly developed electribe sampler utilises state-of-the-art technology from KingKORG, kaossilator, kaoss pad, taktile and other popular KORG products. Its internal memory can store 250 patterns and already contains the latest preset patterns from the dance music scene. One of the outstanding new features is polyphonic playback, which is indispensable for music styles with complex chord sequences such as house music.Improved step sequencer:With the 16 front pads, you can intuitively create patterns and hear and see the sounds at the same time. The pads can be used as a keyboard to record phrases in real time. Step Recording allows you to enter pitches and note values step by step. When performing, the patterns created can be called up at will using the "Step Jump" function typical of the volca series or the "last step" can be changed to vary the length of each part. With the "Motion Sequence" function, you can record your knob and key actions to use them as sound elements in the created pattern. And to create complex rhythms, you can assign a different drum part to each of the 16 parts or 16 pads. This new feature can even be used on synths.
The KRONOS is the ideal stage and studio instrument for anyone who needs maximum flexibility without compromising on sound quality, reliability and features. With no less than nine different sound engines, the KRONOS delivers high-quality sounds from all musical genres - and thanks to the huge and constantly growing number of additional sound libraries, it can be expanded again and again and tailored to individual requirements. The SGX-2 engine specialises in authentic concert grand and upright piano sounds, including the typical mechanical noises and resonances that acoustic instruments inevitably produce. A total of four different high-resolution concert grand pianos of German, Japanese and Italian origin are available ex works, each with 12 dynamic levels and with unlooped samples per key for an outstanding sounding piano experience. The EP-1 Engine is dedicated to the distinctive sound of classic vintage electric pianos with electromechanical sound generators such as reed plates or reeds. In addition to the typical background noises, suitable effect and amplifier models are also included, allowing the most legendary electric piano sounds in music history to be recreated effortlessly. The CX-3 Engine provides the player with an impressive reproduction of the KORG CX-3 tonewheel organ, whose drawbars can be operated intuitively via the nine faders of the KRONOS. Of course, suitable chorus, vibrato, drive and rotary effects are also included to complete the authentic organ experience. The Polysix EX engine is a detailed reproduction of the KORG Polysix analogue synthesizer, whose warm, full sound is predestined for musical genres from the 1980s and early 1990s as well as for more modern synthwave productions. The same applies to the MS-20 EX engine, which is a faithful adaptation of the iconic MS-20 analogue synthesizer from the 1970s, whose unique and aggressive sound is still an integral part of countless legendary electronic music productions today. The KRONOS' large TouchView display can even be used to create virtual connections on the MS-20's patch panel, allowing you to customise the signal path according to your own ideas. The AL-1 Engine is also available for further virtual-analogue sounds, with its complex possibilities and authentic-sounding oscillators and filters for velvety-smooth pads, assertive leads and punchy basses. With the STR-1 engine, the KRONOS offers comprehensive physical modelling sound generation, in which the sounds are generated and modulated in real time using physical models. This type of synthesis is particularly suitable for creating plucked and stringed instruments, whose virtual strings can be plucked, struck or bowed. The MOD-7 engine, on the other hand, specialises entirely in VPM/FM synthesis, which was particularly dominant in the music world of the 1980s, but has also recently experienced a real renaissance in the EDM sector. In addition to brilliant bells and legendary electric piano sounds, it can also be used to generate dynamic pads and ultra-deep basses. In addition, the six operators of the engine can be equipped with waveshaping or ring modulation oscillators as well as PCM samples, which guarantees almost infinite freedom when designing new sounds. "Last but not least, the HD-1 engine is a powerful sampling sound generator that can be used to create complex multisamples and play them over different keyboard and velocity ranges. This engine contains all sample-based sounds such as natural instruments, drums, percussion, choirs etc. and can also be used to play your own samples. The latter can either be loaded into the instrument via USB stick or created using the comprehensive internal sampler function. Separate audio and microphone inputs as well as an integrated USB audio interface are available for this purpose. The HD-1 engine also offers the option of wave sequencing, which is familiar from the classic KORG WAVESTATION from the 1990s and can generate rhythmic phrases and constantly changing pad sounds. All sounds created with these nine engines can be combined with each other within the Combi mode, either as dynamically playable layer or split sounds with up to 16 individual instances. Such extensive combinations can then be organised just like individual sound programs in clearly arranged, colour-coded set lists and can even be called up using a footswitch if desired. Thanks to the practical "Smooth Sound Transition" function, played sounds are not interrupted when the sound programme is changed, but continue to sound natural, even if the new sound is already being played. The powerful on-board sequencer offers 16 MIDI and 16 audio tracks and is therefore also ideal as a practical playback device for click and backing tracks on stage. An extensive and flexibly customisable effects section with a total of 16 effect slots (12 insert, 2 master and 2 total effects + 3-band EQ) is available for all areas, which can be used from a pool of 197 different effect types. The inspiring KARMA function, which is also on board the KRONOS, generates complex musical accompaniment phrases in real time, which can be intuitively controlled and customised using the faders and buttons in the controller section. For particularly expressive playing, the KRONOS provides a variety of playing aids and real-time modulation sources, including a velocity-sensitive keyboard with aftertouch, freely programmable faders, knobs and buttons, an X/Y joystick, an additional vector joystick and an intuitive ribbon controller. Thanks to its optimised system architecture, it works faster than ever before in its third generation, which is noticeable, among other things, in a significant reduction in start-up time. The TouchView display also reacts even faster to inputs, making the entire workflow feel noticeably smoother and more natural. The already extensive collection of ready-to-play preset sounds that have always characterised the KRONOS has been expanded for this model to include hundreds of additional sounds from every conceivable musical style, so that the instrument is ready to use as soon as you switch it on - whether for studio productions, band use or rousing solo performances.
