The Rohema Carbon Rods consist of 9 high-quality carbon fibre rods arranged in a circle around a core of lightweight spruce wood. The combination of these materials reduces the overall weight. Weighing around 55 grams and with a handle diameter of 14.7 millimetres, the Rohema Carbon Rods lie between standard 5A and 5B hickory drumsticks. The honeycomb surface of the plastic handle ensures optimum grip.The use of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic makes the rods much more durable than other wooden versions. The rebound is significantly higher, the cymbal sound is richer in overtones and the sidestick is crisper and more concise. Compared to classic rods, the volume reduction and the typical percussive sound are somewhat less pronounced.The ROHEMA carbon rods are a real alternative for anyone who has previously found rods to have a cymbal sound that is too muffled, too little rebound and too short a shelf life.

Kalimbas are reed instruments that originated in southern Africa and can be found there in countless shapes and designs.Our Kalimba B11 'Melody' is carefully handcrafted from solid American cherry (black cherry). The surfaces are treated with vegetable oils and waxes and polished. The 11 reeds are precisely tuned in the G major scale, allowing a variety of well-known songs to be played. However, the "Melody" is just as suitable for improvisation and intuitive playing.For technical and tonal reasons, we have alternated long and short reeds in the arrangement of the reeds. The six shorter reeds have been bent so that their ends are at a higher level than those of the long reeds so that they can be easily reached by the thumbs. When playing the notes from low to high, first the five long reeds are plucked alternately with both thumbs from the centre outwards - the right thumb starts on reed no. 6 - then the six short reeds, also from the centre outwards.
