It is a small but heavy ride modelled on the symphonic cymbals used as rides in the past, which have developed their popular characteristic sound through "misuse" (frequent repairs). The "sound notch" in combination with the sandblasted surface give the Quick Sand Ride its modified, pre-aged character with remarkable clarity, control and a complex sound image.
