The Magnetic RimMount system holds the MuffBites securely in position on the rim and also allows them to be used on the resonance side of the drum. After more than 4 years of development, inventor Sam Millender presented the KickPort, which has redefined the bass drum sound with its sensational properties. The principle and effect of the KickPort is similar to that of a bass reflex tube. Bass reflex tubes are used in high-quality hi-fi loudspeakers and subwoofers to produce or amplify lower frequencies (the so-called low end).The KickPort gives the bass drum a deeper, fatter and warmer sound. The gain in sound is really impressive! The frequency range in which the KickPort should work can be influenced by tuning the front head. The KickPort can be used with all head combinations and can be fitted or removed in a few simple steps. By using the KickPort, additional damping material in the bass drum can be largely dispensed with. The KickPort was honoured with the title "Best in Show" at the NAMM Show 2009!
