6 Voices from Heaven:With Artemis, the Greek boutique manufacturer presents another highlight in the company's 10-year history.The analogue six-voice sound generation of Artemis has two VCOs per voice with infinitely variable waveshaping, sync function, FM and PW. A sub-oscillator or noise can be added to the VCOs. The creamy low-pass filter can be switched between 12 dB and 24 dB and modulated directly via key tracking, envelope and oscillator or noise.The first-class algorithms from SINEVIBES are once again used in the effects section. The four stereo effect blocks for distortion/bit crush, modulation FX, delay and reverb can be used simultaneously to alienate or refine the sound.Thanks to a mod matrix, connecting external MIDI controllers is also no problem; controller data such as mod wheel, polyphonic aftertouch, velocity etc. can be conveniently assigned to the parameters. Various filter types are available:12 or 24dB and lowpass/highpass/bandpass with optional saturation or dirty mode.The filter models from Waldorf Nave, Largo and PPG 3V are also available.The two filters in the Dual Filter section can be controlled independently or in different link modes. The Digital Former contains all filter types and models from the Dual Dilter section plus some unusual filters such as Comb, Drive, Bitcrusher and more. All filters always work in stereo mode. Stereo channels are retained as such throughout the entire signal path. Six envelopes, six LFOs and many more modulation sources are just waiting to be used in the 40 slots of the Modulation Matrix. Each slot has an additional control amount. Almost any numerical value in Iridium can be used as a destination. All sources and destinations can be used as often as required until the matrix is full.If the LFOs and envelopes are ever no longer sufficient, there is also the complex modulator. Another LFO or envelope can be created with a freely drawable line.A large number of parameters are hidden beneath the surface of Iridium. Nevertheless, Waldorf has managed to pack everything into an operating concept that is easy to find your way around. The most important parameters have their own button, the rest can be accessed via the touchscreen and the encoders arranged around it. There are no deep menu structures here, but an operation that quickly leads to the goal and is really fun. There are 4x4 pad buttons on the front panel that invite you to play. These can be used to trigger notes, chords, arpeggios and sequences with up to 32 steps for notes and parameter progressions. The seven encoders to the left and right of the display provide direct access to the parameters on the touchscreen. Iridium's large touchscreen keeps you up to date and communicates with you. Iridium has connections for USB MIDI and DIN MIDIUsing the controller port, Iridium can use other MIDI devices as hosts and exchange data with sticks and hard drives via USB. With Nymphes, the cult synthesiser manufacturer from Athens once again delves deep into Greek mythology. The inspiration for this was provided by none other than Homer, who wrote about nymphs as beings of divine descent in his Odyssey around 700 years before Christ.Nymphes is an extremely compact six-voice, fully analogue desktop synthesiser. It offers one "waveforming" oscillator plus sub-oscillator, 2 envelopes, noise and an extremely fast LFO including 5 waveforms, key tracking, fade in and fade out per voice. In addition, there is another common LFO (LFO2) with the same features, which can affect each and several parameters simultaneously with different strengths and extends into the FM range. In addition to a resonant 24 dB low-pass filter with precise tracking, a further 6 dB high-pass filter is available. Its 6 voices can be managed in 6 "play modes" including extremely fat unison. 7 chords can be saved per preset for the "Chord Mode". The impressive basic sound is enhanced by a lush reverb, which blends seamlessly with the sound generation and gives the sound additional depth. The connection to the outside world is made via MIDI (3.5 mm jack) or USB, while USB also serves as the power supply.

The new generation of the KORG Volca Sample brings numerous improvements and new features as a consistent further development. First and foremost, the compact sample player now offers a micro USB socket, which allows the samples in the device to be easily managed and exchanged via a connected computer. This connection can also be used for USB-MIDI signals. The memory, which has been doubled compared to the previous model, offers space for up to 200 samples, with 150 completely new (and in some cases reworked) samples already included ex works.
