It offers 68dB of gain, ultra-low noise and low distortion with a touch of classic analogue warmth. The iD48's 8 Audient Console mic preamps provide a clean, accurate and true-to-source translation of audio data. This is the same fully analogue and discrete microphone preamp circuitry used in Audient's renowned ASP8024-HE recording console. No emulations, no copies, just genuine analogue console microphone preamps. The 32-bit ESS DAC converter technology minimises quality loss and maximises performance during conversion, ensuring that the sound is cleaner, clearer and more accurate than ever before. And with a dynamic range of 126.5 dB, subtle details are easier to hear, allowing problematic areas to be recognised more quickly. With its D-Sub connectors, the iD48 offers eight fully balanced inserts that can be used to integrate favourite outboard effects before conversion - for the cleanest and clearest possible signal path. Perfect for stem mixing and print backs. And for the first time ever, the iD48's switchable insert routing allows you to select the source that feeds the ADC path. This allows you to choose whether the Audient Mic Preamp or the DAW outputs are sent to the outboard, per channel and all without having to plug or unplug any cables. And if external analogue mic preamps are to be recorded, the iD48 Returns can be used to bypass the Audient Mic Preamp, providing a very clean and direct conversion path for recording. The iD48 is not only a powerful USB-C audio interface, but also offers everything you need to control monitoring in the studio. Speakers or other hardware can be connected for monitoring via the main and alto speaker outputs, but also via the additional line outputs. Two fully independent stereo headphone amplifiers, with a dynamic range of 124 dB and sufficient power for headphones up to 600 ohms, offer the option of mixing confidently via headphones. With the configurable function buttons, each of the iD48's powerful monitoring functions such as Speaker Select, Dim or Mono Sum can be assigned to the two dedicated hardware function buttons. The iD48's innovative talkback technology can also be utilised, allowing a USB microphone or the computer's built-in microphone to be used as a dedicated talkback microphone, freeing up the microphone preamps for recording.

RME's Digiface AVB demonstrates how audio can be transferred from PC to network and back again using the AVB protocol stack and now makes this capability available for Windows-based PCs.Equipped with USB 3, you can stream up to 128 audio channels with sampling rates of up to 192 kHz to the AVB network and a further 128 channels back. The channels are organised into configurable streams ranging in size from 2 to 32 channels, allowing connections to all available AVB audio devices on the market. The accompanying software package includes an AVDECC controller that provides essential functions to discover all AVB devices on a network and manage connections of incoming and outgoing data streams. Basic monitoring functions are built in.Like all current RME interfaces, the Digiface series also features the powerful TotalMix FX digital real-time mixer. It can perform virtually any mixing and routing processes with all inputs and playback tracks on any hardware outputs. The mixer includes a wide range of functions, such as a control room section with talkback, main/phones, fader groups, mute groups, complete remote control via Mackie and OSC protocol, and much more. The Digiface series does not support DSP-based effects (FX) such as EQ or reverb.TotalMix Remote, extends the power of RME interfaces by enabling remote control via iOS, PC or Mac. With a straightforward setup process - you simply enter the IP address of the computer you want to control with TotalMix Remote - and instantly every aspect of TotalMix FX can be adjusted on a host system as you walk around the studio with your tablet, regardless of where the control room is located in your facility.
The HDSPe MADI FX sets a new milestone among RME audio interfaces. Never before has there been such a powerful and high-performance multi-channel computer interface.390 channels! Three MADI I/Os - two optical and one coaxial - are accompanied by an AES/EBU I/O and an analogue monitor output. There is also a word clock I/O and a total of four MIDI I/Os. As is typical for RME, all the technology and connections are concentrated in a very small space. Only one PCIe slot on the motherboard and a second free slot on the computer are required. To guarantee RME's worldwide unique low-latency performance even with so many channels, a new, modular high-tech audio core has been developed, which processes more than three times the number of channels of the previous RME MADI flagship and requires an even lower system load. Assuming a powerful computer, record-breaking latencies of up to 32 samples can be utilised even when using all 390 channels. Sophisticated efficiency technology automatically switches off channels that are not currently being used in the hardware so that they do not require any computing power. A simple stereo signal does not place a greater load on the computer than a simple stereo card - despite a professional multi-channel system with almost 400 channels! The new core technology goes hand in hand with a special TotalMix FX version in order to utilise the enormous number of channels efficiently and practically. In addition to numerous performance optimisations, which make the 4096-channel mixer of the MADI FX react just as smoothly as its Fireface UFX counterpart (1800 channels), and a faster DSP for a higher number of EQs and compressors, this primarily affects the manageability of the sheer mass of channels. A new hide technology makes it possible to hide unused channels visually. Hide setups can be saved and loaded at any time, for example to switch between displaying the drum mix and the complete band mix at the click of a mouse.
The Lynx AES16e offers 16 channels of 192 kHz AES/EBU input and output. It builds on the capabilities of our Lynx AES16, which has been the industry standard in multi-channel AES/EBU audio interfaces for years, but brings a number of improvements and fits into modern PCI Express slots on current Windows and Mac OSX audio workstations. The architecture and higher bandwidth of the PCI Express standard reduces bottlenecks and congestion, which automatically results in noticeably higher performance for high-end computer-based audio. The Lynx AES16e PCI Express card features 16 input and 16 output channels of 24-bit AES/EBU digital audio at a sample rate of 192 kHz in both single-wire and dual-wire AES mode, with switchable 16-channel sample rate conversion. The Lynx AES16e has been specially designed for integration with digital mixing consoles, multi-channel A/D and D/A converters, hard disc recorders, digital audio workstations and other digital audio equipment and works with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
This wired remote control was developed for direct access to the most frequently used functions and commands of TotalMix FX, as an indispensable tool in daily studio practice. The extremely flexible configuration options simplify the workflow and significantly increase the usefulness of the RME interface in most applications. The ARC USB is a USB 1.1 (UAC1) MIDI remote control, directly compatible with Windows and Mac OS X. As soon as it appears in the operating system, it is detected by TotaIMix FX and communicates with TotalMix FX without interfering with MIDI or other remote controls. Therefore, it is not necessary to switch the ARC USB on or off in TotalMix FX, it will work just like that. And since it communicates with TotalMix FX (via USB) it is compatible with all RME audio interfaces that are recognised and supported by TotalMix FX. This goes all the way back to RME interfaces from 2001!As soon as an ARC USB is connected to a computer, every press of a button and every turn of the knob causes a corresponding reaction in TotalMix FX - and therefore also from the RME audio interface used. With the UFX+ and UFX II, the ARC USB can also be connected directly to the device instead of to the computer, as these two are the only RME interfaces so far to have an internal USB 1.1 host with a suitable socket. This type of connection is particularly useful in stand-alone operation, where the UFX+ and UFX II also support the ARC USB.The ARC USB is bus-powered, but draws comparatively little power. It also only uses USB 1.1, which is completely uncritical nowadays due to the low frequency and low speed requirements. USB2 cables with a length of 5 to 10 metres, or cheap USB2 cable extensions, which cause some bus-powered devices to malfunction, work with the ARC USB. Nevertheless, RME recommends the use of active USB 2 cables (also called extension or repeater cables) for longer lengths, which are not expensive and guarantee correct function at 20 metres and more. The ARC USB also controls several audio interfaces simultaneously. It is configured via the Key Commands dialogue in TotalMix FX. This dialogue applies to the selected audio interface. Simply assign each interface only the functions that it should have on the ARC USB. The buttons and the rotary encoder of the ARC USB then control the interface for which they have been configured without having to switch or select anything during normal operation.
The PCIe x4 audio interface cards HDSPe AoX (AVB) and HDSPe AoX-D (Dante) offer two network connections with headphone output, AES3, MIDI, SteadyClock for all digital input signals and internal expansions for up to four optional MADI connections. Whether in a Thunderbolt expansion chassis or built into DAWs or audio processors, these cards send and receive up to 512 audio channels and offer numerous mixing and routing options via TotalMix.
Volt 476P is the perfect audio interface for creative collaborators who want to record larger audio projects with legendary studio sound. Simply connect it to your Mac, PC, iPad or iPhone and Volt is ready to capture your inspiration with professional, inimitable Universal Audio sound.
With the HDSPe AIO Pro PCI-Express interface card, RME presents the successor to the successful HDSPe AIO.
