The Benny Greb Signature 18" Quick Sand Ride is inspired by the iconic jazz and funk sound of the 70s and 80s. It is a small but heavy ride modelled on the symphonic cymbals used as rides in the past, which have developed their popular characteristic sound through "misuse" (frequent repairs). The "sound notch" in combination with the sandblasted surface give the Quick Sand Ride its modified, pre-aged character with remarkable clarity, control and a complex sound image. Hand-hammered in Turkey from B20 bronze. The unusual sandblasted surface gives a soft feel and a distinctive matt finish. Its deep, dark and somewhat dry washy sound is neither too soft nor too loud. With its excellent stick response and short sustain, the Byzance Vintage series allows you to play powerfully and always remain in full control. The sound is suitable for all styles of music that are not in the upper decibel range.
The 20" Byzance Traditional Polyphonic Ride is the perfect ride cymbal for versatile drummers thanks to its different playing surfaces and wide-ranging sound possibilities. It offers a fast response and a unique, open sound both when crashing the cymbal and when playing ride figures. The extra large bell in raw finish makes the cymbal very versatile with its very clear and dry sound.Their hammered and twisted surface, warm sounds and the choice of different models seem very traditional. Nevertheless, these drum cymbals are the perfect choice when versatility is required. There are rides with a buttery soft feel, but also crashes in different weights that cover a wide range of sounds. Traditional sound and acoustic uniqueness are combined in each of these cymbals.
A balance of concise ping and voluminous wash, combined with a powerful bell. The Thoma Lang design pattern creates a stylish visual highlight on the bell. Hand-hammered in Turkey from B20 bronze. The drum cymbals in the Byzance Brilliant series are made from B20 bronze and hand-hammered in Turkey to the highest quality standards. They are then given their extraordinary brilliant finish using state-of-the-art methods in the Meinl Factory in Germany. Heavy models in the series have a direct, penetrating sound, while the thinner versions have a shimmering, warm sound. The combination of this warm sound and their unique assertiveness make the Byzance Brilliant models one of the most versatile cymbal series ever.
