The MuffBites open up a wide range of possibilities for unique damping effects. The black felt rim, combined with the beautiful vintage cord fabric, covers about a third of the head and thus preserves the natural drum sound. The Magnetic RimMount system holds the MuffBites securely in position on the rim and also allows them to be used on the resonance side of the drum. They reduce overtones, minimise sustain and ensure a more precise and drier sound. Three metal clamps are supplied for use on die-cast tyres.

A special feature of the new EC2S heads is the Sound Shaping Technology newly developed by Evans. This technology makes it possible to provide each head with customised damping depending on its size. The damping material is not glued on, but is attached directly to the underside of the skin and varies in thickness and width depending on the skin diameter. This customised damping gives the new EC2S heads more tone, sustain and a crisp attack. In addition, the new EC2S heads have a greater tuning range and dynamic range.
The versatile single-ply tom skin is ideal for open tunings thanks to its broad overtone spectrum. Due to its versatility, it can be used both as a percussion and resonance head. The coated version of the G1 is also very popular as a snare head, as it produces a very open snare sound without damping.
The two layers give the head its fat, crisp attack. As the head has no other types of damping, the sound has sufficient overtones. The enormous versatility of the G2 Coated heads also allows them to be used as snare heads.
This very thin snare resonance head unfolds its potential best when played rather quietly. It is therefore ideal for use in the jazz, fusion and pop genres.

Inspired by the excellent Emperor X and Black X drumheads, REMO proudly presents the AMBASSADOR X. The AMBASSADOR X drumheads use the same film as the standard Ambassdor coated drumheads, but 20% thicker. This extra thickness produces more attack, wider mids, while maintaining durability and providing better stick rebound. These skins are already favoured by Kenny Aronoff (Independent), Ronald Bruner jr (Marcus Miller) and Ray Luzier (KoRn).
The EMAD system (Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping) developed by Evans damps the bass drum head with an externally mounted ring. This type of damping, used exclusively by Evans, makes any additional damping of the bass drum unnecessary. Two damping rings of different strengths are supplied with the drumhead, allowing the sound to be changed in just a few simple steps.
The comparatively strong snare resonance head is extremely durable. In combination with a two-ply batter head, it is the first choice for drummers who prefer loud playing styles.
